Stone Island x Porter - Man Made Suede

Updated: May 10, 2020

Another installment of this ongoing collab with the Japanese bag masters!

The latest installment has dropped in the ongoing collab between Porter Yoshida and Stone Island. This time round they have utilized arguably the stand out material to be developed by Stone Island in recent years.

Man Made Suede is a non-woven fabric, developed by Stone Island, made with nylon microfibres and polyurethane resins.

We all know about the AW18 Man Made Suede drop! Well now we have a new capsule of bags in the same material to match it up. The Man Made Suede material undergoes a complex industrial process, impregnated with resins and coagulated to create this tactile material. This capsule comes in 3 styles, the duffel bag, rucksack and bum bag come in a range of colours to match up with your jacket or to use as a standalone piece.

Porter Yoshida is a Japanese bag manufacturer with its roots going back to 1935. We have been graced with this collaboration for the last 10 seasons and it never fails to disappoint. The highlight of this collaboration is always the standout craftsmanship and heritage that Porter offer which blends perfectly with the progressive and experimental style of Stone Island.

We will definitely be grabbing at least one piece from this capsule after the Man Made Suede parka was our stand out piece from last season!
